Appraisal & Umpire Services
Have you reached an impasse with your insurance company, but do not want to spend the time and money on litigation? Most insurance policies have an appraisal clause. If you elect to invoke appraisal, you will hire a representative to defend you, called an appraiser. The insurance carrier will also hire their own appraiser to represent their interests. The two selected appraisers will then agree on an umpire. If an agreement is not made by the appraisers regarding the loss, then the umpire is responsible for coming in and helping the panel reach an agreement regarding the cost of repairs, what is approved, and what is not approved.
LPA has certified insurance appraisers and umpires on staff to help with your claim. Give us a call for a free consultation to see if an appraisal is right for you.
